I took a DPhil in philosophy from Christ Church, Oxford. My main work is in phenomenology, though I have other philosophical interests too. I’m from the San Francisco Bay Area, but after returning from the UK to the States, I decided with my wife to live in her home state of Texas, where I worked as an independent scholar before taking up a post as the Thomas Jack Lynch Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow at Wake Forest University’s Department of Philosophy for the 2018-19 academic year.

For the foreseeable future, I will be working on a new book, Coram Deo: Exercises in Subjectivity, due to appear in December 2020.
